<p>How good is this major at Stanford?</p>
<p>Actually you cannot major in aero/astro as an undergrad, but they do have a fifth year engineering program where you can get a master’s in a/a. The engineering program at Stanford is very strong. One of the main reasons my son went to Stanford was for the engineering program, particularly a/a. Unfortunately (or maybe not) he was not accepted into the fifth year program, due to only having a B average in math/science classes there. (The classes are quite challenging.) However, his interests have changed anyway, and he is getting his BA in Japanese this June.</p>
<p>But, yes, their aerospace program is quite strong.</p>
