My son is a high school junior and is hoping to get a NROTC scholarship and get accepted to UF for '09. He hopes to study Aerospace Engineering but also has a great deal of passion for History. Is it possible to complete a Minor in History as an Aerospace Major? It seems as though it would be plausible with all of the Social Science, Humanities and Diversity course requirements UF has, particularly if he is able to do well enough on his AP US History test this year and the AP European History test next year to obtain credits. Can anyone help or offer suggestions?

Seems possible, but most people in engineering I know have a hard enough time finish in 4 years and dont take on a minor. History I hear involves a lot of writing and reading which could take away time from focusing on his AE courses.

bump. Thanks for the response. Any more opinions out there from the Engineering majors?
