<p>Is it somewhat true that Ivy league schools are now looking to have more ‘balanced’ classes and looking to accept more well-rounded (as in athletics, maybe not collegiate though), smart, southern, affluent males?
I heard this in a discussion but I didn’t know if it held any validity.
Thoughts?</p>
<p>Ivy’s like to have students which represent all 50 states and multiple countries. That being said someone from North Dakota has a much better chance of getting in to an Ivy than someone with the same or slighlty higher stats from New England. The South which includes: Mississipi, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Tennesse, N. and S. Carolina, Virginia, Arkansas etc. have a better chance than ofcourse someone from New England but then again any white person is at a DISADVANTAGE as whites are overepresented in nearly all if not all Universities.</p>
