Recs:
One from my PreCal, AP Calc, and AP Stats teacher. He has also been my advisor all throughout high school. GREAT recommendation. The other is from my APUSH teacher who I travelled to Europe with during the summer after my sophomore year for a study program. Also a GREAT recommendation.

See this thread for some similarities & discussion:

You’re in! :)

^ That’s a little optimistic, considering less than 10% of the applicants are accepted.

You are definitely qualified, but it’s impossible to determine whether you will make it or not.

are you going to try to swim for yale? that might help. your chances are good but not guaranteed. my neighbor had very similar stats also black except he went to a private school and played football. he was waitlisted and is going to dartmouth in the fall. make sure your essay is good.

He’s got a very good chance, almost an in for sure, depending on his essay

Any extracurricular activities?

Isn’t there a section titled “ECs”?

Don’t believe the “you’re in”. You should definitely apply, but don’t take anything for granted. Write excellent essays, make sure your recs are perfect and don’t forget to apply to safeties!
