<p>No, no you’ll be fine. 
There are prejudices like any other southern states, but there should be no reason that an African American student can’t feel comfortable and find their group.</p>
<p>Oh ok. Do you attend Duke or a Southern school like it?</p>
<p>Doesn’t Duke offer African American studies? I don’t see a racist school offering ethnic studies. Or maybe I’m being naive.</p>
<p>No, I do not. My father and a couple of my family and friends attend(ed) Duke. </p>
<p>Oh! What I said earlier applies to the around Duke and North Carolina. Duke is a college like any other. You shouldn’t have problems fitting in if you are a welcoming and friendly person.</p>
