<p>OK, DS2 in interested in AFROTC in college. He is very techie, and would like the technical majors they prefer. He is a sophomore in high school, and Jr. ROTC is available to him there. Do the college ROTC programs prefer someone with high school ROTC experience? He would need scholarship $$, esp. for housing.</p>
<p>Most people with the scholarship haven’t taken JROTC in high school. However, two years of JROTC can count as one year of ROTC, and three years will count as three semesters. If there are engineering/technical classes available, it might be better for him to take those.</p>
