Wishing you the best, I think the universe owes you at this point, @fauxmaven. My best wishes and prayers on your procedure, and also to reinforce what seems to be happening with your marriage:)
In hindsight, did the liver issue perhaps have something going on with H - like subconsciously not wanting to deal with possible medical issue? Or has H been supportive on the medical front? My H handled my breast cancer as well as he could, but he didn’t have very good coping skills with it. At first, was in denial on how bad it was (it was stage III, aggressive, and I had very aggressive treatments) “you are not that sick…”. I actually had to be more concerned about the kids who were 12 and 14 at the time.
Will let you all know what happens. I have a fancy 3 stage scan on FRI complete with Banana Barium
FM hoping that you have the best possible results from the testing. Saying prayers for you right now!
I have 6 benign tumors in my liver- very tiny. Doctor just wants to wait 6 months and do another CAT scan…fun.
Benign - yay!!!
Oh yeah, benign is the way to go. The liver is quite forgiving. They can take out half of it and it will grow back.
Can’t they become malignant?
I don’t know. Ask your doctor.
Benign is one of the loveliest words in English.
I’m very glad to hear this encouraging finding. Here’s to your good health, faux maven! And may things keep looking up for you and yours.
Wishing you good health. Good health is the foundation that gives us the strength to handle everything that comes our way.
What katliamom said.
Phew. You should ask your doctor for the reasons he wanted a scan in 6 months. My guess is to make sure that the tumors are not growing too big too fast.
Glad to hear that they are benign.
Benign is a good thing.
But I know they can change.6 months for another CAT scan to make sure they aren’t growing, but if they are benign and growing that doesn’t sound good.
Skin is benign. Hair is benign. Fingernails are benign. They grow. Can benign tumors change? Some can. So it makes sense to monitor them. Whatever the Dr. suggests for monitoring is a good plan.
