After Runway: What is/are your favorite reality shows?

In our house we watch the Amazing Race, Real Housewives of New York City, Project Runway (but only on TiVo). We have watched Million Dollar Listing (TiVo only) because we know one of the brokers. Sort of like watching a train wreck…

Anyone else have favorites?

Bravo has a reality TV show formula that works pretty well. Besides Project Runway, Top Chef is good, and then they have a bunch of similar shows that aren’t as popular like Top Design and Sheer Genius. If you like Project Runway, you’ll probably like Top Chef.

I love Kitchen Nightmares- it’s on tonight! And I do like Gordon Ramsey’s other show Hell’s Kitchen. Love Top Chef, too.

Amazing Race (one of our favs)
House Hunters (does that count?) and other HGTV stuff
America’s Next Top Model (just me, not DH…lol)
We used to be big Survivor fans but the attraction has waned some. Still plan to DVR it tonight to check out the new contestants. Can’t watch it live because it would interfere with Gray’s Anatomy!

I used to enjoy watching Beauty and the Geek.

Also love HGTV shows…

Top Chef
Biggest Loser
Hell’s Kitchen
America’s Next Top Model
So You Think You Can Dance

Faux Gnus.

I don’t watch Project Runway. The Amazing Race is one of my favorite shows, reality or drama. Can’t wait for Sunday night!

Top Chef
American Idol

not nearly as good, but I watch:
Top Design
Shear Genius

different type of shows, but also like:
Kitchen Nightmares
Iron Chef

Hate to admit it but I also do watch:
Dancing with the Stars

Cannot get into, but occasionally see one or two performances from:
America’s Got Talent

For whatever reason, I have never watched any of the biggies:
Survivor
Big Brother
the various Bachelor/Bachelorettes
Amazing Race
Biggest Loser

You’re missing America’s Next Top Model, Jmmom! Which category is that one in?

What Not to Wear.

LOVE What Not to Wear…and sometimes I say sheepishly, Say Yes to the Dress…

ooooh, love What Not to Wear… and yes, I’ve watched Say Yes to the Dress… don’t really know when that one comes on though. So I just “luck” into it sometimes.

corranged - I’ve never watched ANTM. Same way it took bff 3 years to talk me into checking out Runway… it’ll probably be a few more before I check out that one.

At this point, I figure… if I haven’t seen it… I’m ahead of the game. I mean, just look at my list! It’s not long enough?!

jmmom–what’s wrong with Dancing with the Stars? (indignation in voice)

Unlike some of the other shows, it has culture and it doesn’t rely on backstabbing in order to win.

I usually don’t tune in until a couple of weeks have gone by and the really bad contestants have been eliminated, however. Some, no, most of the dancers are AMAZING and I could only dream of dancing so well.

BBC’s Location, Location, Location. It’s a show about people looking for a place to buy in the UK. I don’t think it’s on any more, but it used to be on very early Sat mornings.

Project Runway
American Idol
Say Yes to the Dress (love this one!)
Hell’s Kitchen

and I admit it:

Rock of Love

I used to LOVE BBC’s Location, Location etc. In fact their Trading Spaces was the best. I"ve never seen such horrible taste. My personal favorite was when the “decorator” used rubber bath mats on the stairs. I think that they called it a space room or Mars room. With the BBC I remember seeing families say so spacious! regarding a bedroom which was maybe 8 x 8. With cabbage roses and purple carpeting.

Another vote for House Hunters and other HGTV shows.
Along with This Old House, I just find them very relaxing to watch. Also Rick Steves.

Like the Antiques Roadshow, but almost never catch it. Esp. enjoy the Keno brothers and how excited they get about old American furniture. How wonderful to love your job that much!

LOST - it’s also a good link to S1 in college, who got me hooked on the show in the first place.

maysixxmom-- don’t be embarassed about Rock of Love-- My guilty pleasure is the Real Housewives of NYC.

The Dog Whisperer

…what is Rock of Love?

Bret Michaels (Poison frontman) Rock of Love on VH1. They had 2 “seasons”, but I don’t know there will be another. I never missed an episode!

Oh, and I love those Animal Cops shows on Animal Planet, too!
