<p>Just wondering after what classes should you take SAT 2’s? Like for Biology should you take it after Biology Honors or after AP Biology? What would a good grade to take this be? By grade I mean Freshmen, Sophmore etc. </p>
<p>Also for the language ones should you have 3, 4 or 5 years in a language to do well on the test? I’m in Spanish 3 so should I take it now or wait until next year to take it.</p>

<p>take them when you are ready, which could mean different things for different kids. Some schools have a Frosh Bio honors class that rivals an AP for content and lab work, and they would do well on the test. Other schools’ bio classes are an extreme introduction to the subject, so those students are not be well prepared to score highly. </p>
<p>If planning on the AP class, then, by all means, take the corresponding Subject test in May during AP testing time. Highly selective schools want to see 700+.</p>
<p>re Span: the curve is brutal for non-native speakers, so I’d wait until Span 4, assuming it’s Jr year (need to have scores by fall senior year for testing). Or, just wait until completion of senior year for the Span test, and use it to place out of a language requirement at your accepted college.</p>
<p>the ap bio for sat II bio is overkill. I know this from personal experience. as for sat II lit, take that at the end of junior year and be good with poetry before u take it. Those are the only ones i took and that’s all i can say. I second the comment about language sat II’s, native speakers **** the curve up.</p>
<p>Yeah wait as long as possible to take the SAT 2 Spanish…AFTER the AP Language exam. If you can’t get a 5 on the AP exam then don’t expect 650+ on the SAT2 the following fall. The grade level is pretty irrelevant…I took AP Spanish Language and got a 5 soph year, waited until November of the junior year, when I was in AP Spanish Lit, to take SAT2 Spanish…still got a 790…it’s tough to get an 800 if you’re not native/really really good.</p>
<p>definitely take bio and chem ap and take the sat2’s in jun or july after taking the ap exam…i got a 790 in chem and a 780 in bio…easy cake and that got me into RICE</p>
