<p>I just finished reading Irene Nemirovsky’s <em>Suite Francaise</em> which absolutely astonished me with its gorgeous use of words, engrossing writing, and fascinating glimpse into the world of 1940-42 France. I’d avoided it for weeks, because the reviews were so serious (“this is an important book”), and I found myself unable to stop reading it. Great book. Really.</p>
<p>I’m going to finish freakonomics and then maybe read a new legal thriller, before plowing into another well received fantasy series, “a song of fire and ice”</p>
