But it also looks like more senior employees (even just in their 30s, below the age of 40 that triggers ADEA making age discrimination illegal) finding difficulty landing jobs. Among things mentioned is that employers think that senior employees are too expensive, and AI-powered hiring platforms “absorb and reproduce existing cultural prejudice”. Some more senior applicants find more interest from employers when they reduce the amount of experience shown on their resumes.
