<p>There is no school which can be considered the "best" for the pre-med route. Getting into med school has to do with a lot of factors; the best thing to do is to go to a school which interests you. In the end, med schools want to see applicants that are committed to learning about what they like as much as learning about the science. So, it really doesn't matter what school you go to as long as you fulfill the requirements for med school.</p>

<p>CALS is a very diverse science program...it is the cheapest/best for a NY student, but it works for anyone...</p>

<p>i'd go with CALS if you're interested in science specifically, i'd go with CAS if you want a more liberal education (where you'd take the classes you want along with the PreMed requirements)</p>
