AI Generation policy on AP Research final paper?

Hello.

I submitted my Final Research Paper and in all honesty, it’s completely “AI-generated”. However, I did complete the checkpoints, have an up to date PREP, and I proved to my teacher that it is not AI generated by showing her previous documents.

Basically I humanized it so turn-it-in didn’t detect any AI (the teacher confirmed it with me) but it still SOUNDS like AI, do you know what I mean? If the teacher did not flag me for AI generation, what would happen?

Could they even “cancel my score” or “claim” I used AI? If they did cancel my score, would that affect any of my other AP’s scores? If I’m taking AP Government this year, would that score also be cancelled?

Thanks

Why did you do that? Genuinely curious as to why you bothered taking an elective designed to teach you research and demonstrate you learned the basic processes before you go to college… Then not do it, rendering the elective effectively null and voiding some skills you could have sharpened in a class you’re interested in.

No they can’t cancel another AP exam’s score but that one may be flagged.

Yes. Absolutely. And to be clear, if (and that’s a big if) they claim you used AI, the correspondence informing you of the claim will also inform you that they cancelled your score. If you choose, you can complete the dispute report. The CB will then take 8-10 weeks to review before informing you that their initial actions remains unchanged. But that’s fine, since you did, in fact, cheat.

No

I agree with @MYOS1634 . Why did you do this?

Most places have a policy about AI usage, and using it to write a WHOLE paper usually is not permitted.

You were not honest…and honesty is something that is going to be needed big time in your future. You proved your paper was not AI generated when in fact (you stated so here) it was entirely AI generated.

The definitive answer here has been given - “yes the score can be cancelled.”

Closing as no one on this site will condone or support cheating and the OP’s question was answered.
