Ai yi yi yi yi!!! Common app essay trauma!!!

"Please describe which of these activities (extracurricular and personal activities or work experience) has had the most meaning for you and why (150 words or fewer)."

Holy mother of meat...how are we supposed to choose something original for this one? What on earth do you write about? Because writing about how ____ (fill in the blank with sports, music, volunteer work etc.) has changed your life has been used a gazillion times over. Any ideas? I'm stumped. I want to be original, but so far my essays haven't been working out too well...

This is a very short space and I'd answer the question directly. You don't need a gimmick.

Yeah, I would save the originality for the "long" essay.

It is not the activity that needs to be original - it's what you have to say about its impact on you.

'holy mother of meat' . What about this tells me you don't have problems with originality;).

anyway, yea, this is the short statement, isn't it? Just be straightforward.
