<p>I checked my answers on the webside and I think I got a 9 on the AIME, which is much higher than I got last year (4 points). Is it neccessary to let them know my score? How do I send it in without receiving the official score report?</p>

<p>It’s like a math contest you take and if you score higher than a predetermined score you get to advance to the next round.</p>
<p>Actually the cutoff is postdetermined. I think you should notify them if that’s an increase of 5 or more points from last year. Fax them. Have your math teacher or sponsor or whatever sign a letter saying your score.</p>
