Ok…I’ll bite. What is an “air fryer”?
I don’t have one but it is the next kitchen gadget I plan on buying. My last one was the Instant Pot pressure cooker two years ago and that has been a big hit. Just watched an infomercial on an air fryer.
I’m passed the point of wanting new kitchen gadgets. But, I’m old.

It’s basically a small fancy countertop convection oven. I’ve read mixed reviews; if you already have a convection oven I think you can just stick with it and not miss much.
My brother worked for Phillips and bought one with his company discount. Said it was pretty worthless and he wound up returning it.
I thought about getting one a while back, did my usual over analyzing …read to many reviews and did not buy it.(I am not sure why I did not get it …most people seemed to like it)
My husband bought one. I’d say it does do a good job but not dramatically different than baking things. My husband buys every gadget out there.
The reviews I read were mixed. We have enough appliances in kitchen and thus one isn’t miraculous enough for the extra space it would take.
I don’t know how well it would work for something that has batter on it. I would think you could only oven fry things that had breadcrumbs on it.
The info-mercial intrigued me, but after reading a few articles about air fryers, I remain unconvinced that they are worth the price. Now about that square copper pan thing…

Thr Nuwave Air Fryer from Bed Bath and Beyind has been a hit. The great recipes so far have been French Fries, tilapia, scallops, tortilla chips and even tofu. Looking forward to trying out new recipes so if anyone has some good ones feel free to share them.
