Can students who are planning to attend a campus day use the airBus?

if you’re a mich student with an M-card.

I think the airbus is for holidays/breaks only.

The Michigan Student Assembly (MSA) only pays for the Airbus during times when a very large portion of the campus will be coming/going (mainly before and after extended breaks). Campus day doesn’t draw in nearly enough people to qualify.

I am going around Spring Break…but I dont have an MCard yet.

will you have one by then? b/c you need your mcard to buy the airbus ticket.

http://www.msa.umich.edu/airbus/

no. I believe we get them at orientation over the summer.

All other means of transportation cost 45 per person.

Besides the airBus, does anyone know any transporation service that take you to Michigan from the airport and Michigan to airport?

You can get a shuttle for a little over $20, no need for a taxi that cost >$40.

You might be able to at least take the Airbus either going to or leaving campus.

"Can non-students ride airBus?

We welcome non-students to ride as guests of registered students. We require a valid student Mcard to purchase tickets. You can purchase up to three tickets at once for you and your guests. When riding with your Mcard (Eastbound unreserved or Westbound), you can charge up to three rides to your account. Remember that each ride charged will appear on your statement."

So basically you’d just ask students waiting around the stop if you can pay them $10 to take you on as a guest. This would only work if you were arriving near the end of spring break, or leaving near the beginning of spring break. You’d still need alternative means to go the other direction.
