AIS Stub Billing - What Does The Heck Does This Mean?

I got this email from UCLA and am hoping someone can tell me what it means. I can only assume it means I have a balance due, though upon checking out my URSA I’m not seeing any balances:

Monthly BruinBill Statement Reminder

You were selected to receive this reminder email as your account showed an amount due as of 8:00 AM this morning. If you have since made payment on your account, please disregard this email, and thank you for your payment.

Please do not respond to this email. All inquiries should be directed to Student Financial Services at: asksfs@finance.ucla.edu.

BruinBill Statement Reminder

Students enrolled in the Executive MBA, Fully Employed MBA, Executive MPH, the Educational Leadership Program, Online Masters Program in Engineering and all Summer Session students should refer to this month’s messages at the eBills link shown below for your fee payment deadlines.

For all other students this is a reminder that your payment is due before 5:00 P.M. on September 20, 2011 for charges posted last month or earlier. New charges posted this month are due by the 20th of next month.

REMEMBER TO:

-view the BruinBill statement policies and this month’s messages and file attachments by clicking on the eBills link of the Student Financial Services website

-access URSA OnLine http://www.ursa.ucla.edu/</a> to review activity on your account and to make payment before this month’s payment deadline.

Fees are subject to revision without notice.

If you’re receiving financial aid, that is normal. I had the same thing.

Go to your Bruinbill and Click on the “Here” in the sentence underneath “My Account” and for fall 2011, then go to View Details. It will show you that you did get charged, but they are estimating the financial aid you are expected to receive and charging that.

So do I need to do anything on my part?

Basically, AIS sends everyone who has a balance. I remember in July I had a balance of $2.50 and they sent me that email. They send you another one before the 20th of the month which is when the payments are due, which they will probably do since you’re an FA student. Once the FA gives out the money, it should pay off your BAR account, if not you’ll get another email. So don’t worry about it.
