AIU OR DeVry?

Hello I know they are both expensive but it would be what would fit best into my scheduel as I am a stay at home mom to a 10 month old. My fiance works and does not have a set scheduel. I have contacted my community college and you have to go down there to take the placment tests and buy the books so that wont work for us because im not sure when ill be able to do that.(just answering everyones questions cuz i know people will say go to a cc its cheaper  ) ok so anyways aiu seems to be a little cheaper because the books are included in the tuition its cheaper by a few thousand but i was woundering which is better? I know cheapest is not always best! Thank you everyone for your help!

These institutions are good options for some people, but not for others. You need to be very clear that they will indeed provide the education that you are looking for, in the schedule that works for you. Try to find out if the degree will actually get you where you want to go. Will it truly make you more marketable?

Would you be taking the classes on campus, or online? If transportation is a problem to get to the community college to take a placement test, won’t it also be a problem to get to these classes? Does your community college have any scholarship money available so that you would have fewer student loans?

How are you going to pay for your classes? If you are doing it with student loans, please remember that a cost difference of “a few thousand” can add up quickly. But you certainly are correct, cheaper isn’t always better.
