WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck on Friday in the Aleutian Islands off Alaska, the U.S. Geological Survey reported, prompting a tsunami warning for a portion of Alaska’s coast.
The warning was posted for coastal areas from Unimak Pass, 80 miles northeast of Dutch Harbor, to Amchitka Pass, 125 miles west of Adak.
Is everyone posting from up there ok?

Did this affect the main land or just the islands? I guess I have to read up on it. My brother and his family live in Alaska.

OK, I read up on it. All tsunami warnings are canceled and there are no reported damages or injuries. This occurred quite far from major areas, such as Anchorage.
