<p>My son just learned that he’s been matched with a family in this seaside city. It’s a summer program, sponsored by Rotary. Has anyone ever heard of this city or been there?</p>

<p>I have been to Alicante several times, but not in many years. I have found it to be a really nice place, a great “boardwalk”, beautiful beaches, especially the Playa San Juan area. Big enough, but not too big, not nearly as congested as Madrid or Barcelona. Less expensive than either of them, as well.</p>
