The Brady Bunch is probably the show that is most memorable from my childhood. I can still watch the first few seconds of an episode and tell you what the plot will be. Loved it, loved it, loved it. These days can watch it and make some fun of it (Marcia getting hit in the face with the football - CLASSIC!)

RIP Alice. In her memory, share a favorite Brady moment.

Remember when the washing machine overflowed with soap?
Remember the shot of the house so sweetly designed by architect Mike?
Remember the terribly fake grass in the backyard?
The avocado and orange kitchen?

abasket - I also know every word and dance move to every one of the brady’s songs. It is a sunshine day! I was obsessed with this show. How about, mom always said, don’t play ball in the house … owww, my nose… f, f, fil, l, l, lmo, o, o, ore, filmore junior high!

Family trip to Hawaii.
Bobby saves the person at the bike store and gets big head over eing a hero.
Jan always whining.
DAVY JONES!!!
Cindy and her lisp.
Peter’s voice changing.
Carol gets laryngitis.
Alice finds the green stamp books and the two newly combined Brady’s have to figure out how to spend them (is that when they build the house of cards??)

Don’t play ball in the house!!! Gluing the vase together, and the moment at dinner when it starts to leak!

Oh, and George. George Glass. Poor Jan! All the lemon juice in the world couldn’t help her freckles and awkwardness when compared to Marcia. Lol!

Brady Bunch was such a cult classic. I think I can recite some of the shows verbatim. I read Maureen McCormick’s book a few years ago , which gave interesting perspective on the show and cast members. It was an innocent show, from an innocent time

I am an only child, so the idea of having 5 siblings was such a draw. That, and Greg Brady was pretty cute. Not David Partridge/Sean Cassidy cute…but still kinda boy down the street cute.

RIP Ann B Davis. Loved the show as a kid. I have 6 sibs, and we knew other big families like this growing up. We could definitely relate. Though the Brady Bunch presented a very wholesome, sanitized, and sappy version of family life, we still loved it–and wished we lived in a cool house and had a maid like the Bradys!( Actually, my mom looked A LOT like Alice, not Carol.) I remember how the styles changed over the years–Mike and Carol went from square to mod—remember Mike’s 'fro, and Carol’s shag hairstyles? LOL–still remember that Fillmore Jr. High cheer!
The episodes that come to mind are when Greg stole the mascot from the rival high school (a goat) and tried to hide it in the house, and Westdale High’s Family Night Frolics (talent show)–Greg and Dad didn’t have a talent, Dad did a dramatic recitation of Longfellow’s poem “The Day is Done” while Greg strummed a guitar (with “special effects” by Peter and Bobby) Marcia/Mom dressed as clowns and sang/danced “Together, Wherever We Go” (from Gypsy). It was cute. Also, when they went to Kings Island Amusement Park shortly after it opened. (This was near my home–We went there the same year for our 5th grade “graduation” trip! To think we sat on the same rides as the Bradys! )

How about when they decided to pull in a new “kid” as the Brady kids were getting older and not so cute and adorable - cousin Oliver??? Possibly a jump the shark moment!!!

How about “the NEW JAN BRADY” when Bobby escorts her with her dark hair wig to her friend’s party and all the kids at the party burst out laughing because they think it’s a joke?
