All about Master

Hi,

I am planning to apply to UC Berkeley for grad school(master) after graduating from my under grad in Spring 2016.
Thee are some questions that I have in my mind, what are the nonimpacted major for Master in UCB? What is the most important thing that i need to make my application to be competitive before applying to UCB? I want to take master in CS,engineering,or information management system. Anyone can help me to answer those questions? Have you heard about information management system and is it a competitive major?my background is a student with majoring in Engineering.

Thank you

The most important thing would be writing a good personal statement why you’re applying for this program along with solid 3 letters of recommendation and decent GRE scores. In order to do that, it would be important to figure out what you want to master in, not choosing something that seems to have the least competitive admission process. I believe every major has a very competitive admission process so the best thing you can do is applying for a program that you find most interesting.
The information management system is under School of Information which is separate from College of Engineering. There is a lot of overlap with CS topics and lots of CS students take it.
