All Dorms Information

Gina, those floor plans are tough to figure out. If it looks about the size of a closet, then it’s probably a single. The “planned” triples are only slightly bigger than the doubles on the floor (but there is a difference), but there still are only 2 closets, at least in the planned triples I’ve seen. The singles are small, but there’s something to be said about only dealing with your own “stuff”. Just plan to loft your bed or at least raise it high for storage underneath if you are able to get a single!!!

The floor plans on the high rise buildings make it fairly easy to tell. However, I have to move into Dorchester hall for the writer’s house. That floor plan looks like it was hand-drawn by a five year old.

And I already plan on having about half the amount of stuff I had last year. So much was never used. But I’ll probably invest in the bed risers anyway.

I was thinking of going to request Leonardtown for room selection this year. Does anyone know if it is more a social and fun building or more quiet?

I brought up this old thread…it has a lot of info that may be helpful (questions seem to be the same year after year…)

Does UMD place freshman with similar majors in the same dorms?
