H and I have been going to a warm, tropical, location every year in the winter.ever since our last kid graduated from college. We also take a nice, longer vacation in the summer. Money spent on them, now on us before retirement.
D1 just suggested that she and her significant other and H and I go together this year on our winter vacation. I love the idea, but would like some suggestions. We already have some ideas.
We would require–
all inclusive adult resort
includes scuba diving
-not too far away from east coast USA, i.e. not Austraila. It’s only for a week.
We have already identified some in Jamica. But I would like to know if you guys have any other ideas and suggestions. Sandals has been suggested. Anybody have any experiences there or elsewhere. Loooking for a luxery, upscale place.
If you are not against traveling to Cancun/Yukatan, Bahia Principe Sian Kaan in Rivera Maya is a nice luxurious all-inclusive spot. Adults only resort with a tram to a private beach and privileges at all other Bahia Principe resorts located nearby (their guests do not have reciprocal privileges at Sian Kaan).
We enjoyed Melia Punta Cana. The food was very good for all inclusive.
I know Club Med Columbus Isle has one of the best divings around. The beach is also beautiful and secluded. Many people go diving there, so they go to bed quite early. It attracts a lot of European crowd. The only thing is it may be a bit chilly in Jan and Feb because it is in the Bahamas.
You may want to look into Turks and Caicos for diving. I used to go there when there were no hotels on the island.
