X. H and I are planning our winter vacation. Last year we went to an all inclusive adult reaort in Cancun. It was our first time at an all inclusive and we enjoyed it very much. It was also a higher end.
We are planning this years winter destination. We would like a different place if it is as good.
“Please note that all beaches in Costa Rica are available to the general public and are not exclusive or private for hotel guests. Please contact the resort for further information.”
Awesome. Just like HI.
Are you willing to try another Riviera Maya resort?
Melia is a Spanish owned hotel chain. I think they are having a sale right now.
I continue to be a Club Med fan, especially their 5 star resorts. They have one in Punta Cana which was just remodeled.
Another vote for the Westin Playa Conchal!! The Royal Beach Club section of the resort is 18+ with its own separate pool with plenty of chairs, a separate breakfast facility, evening drinks in the reception area, upgraded liquor throughout the resort etc. and a personal concierge who will make all of your reservations for you. Cancun is nice, but I would suggest you give Costa Rica a try.
@JustOneDad LOL. That phrase always makes me think of the days (clearly, pre-AIDS) where going to Club Med had very, very little to do with the quality of the pool, beach or food – even location was sort of besides the point
There’s an Iberostar adults only resort in the Riviera Maya that looked very nice when we went to the associated family resort about 8 years ago. The complex has 4 or 5 resorts, and if you do the adults only, you can go to restaurants at any of the resorts.
I just got back from Sandals Royal Caribbean yesterday – Montego Bay, Jamaica…our third time there. Adult means couples only, no kids of any type. Love it there.

Our travel agent told us we should go to an adults only resort this winter. "“Oh no we can’t do that " I said " we are bringing the kids”. “Um well your kids ARE adults”, said the travel agent. LOL!
So how are the accomodations at Sandals? D Nd BF just back from a Couples all inclusive in Jamica. They said Excellence was probably better but the Couples included scuba diving. They got scuba certified.
I do not think,ay my age, I want to get scuba certified. Snorkeling is fine with me.
D suggested she and BF and H no I go on a trip together. Now we need an all inclusive, adult, high end that includes scuba!
We are going to an all inclusive adult resort with the “kids” who are 18 and 20. The travel agent said there are many families with college kids there. Should be an interesting different experience than the last time we went and the place was filled with screaming little kids.
