Can someone explain… about applying to all schools EA…
what are the advantages/disadvantages?

Most schools won’t let you apply to other schools EA, if you apply to them EA.

If they do let you, there is the intense pressure of having all your essays and applications done by such an early date. It also eliminates what (for me) the purpose of EA is - get in somewhere, not apply to safeties, fewer applications to stress about.

Actually, most schools do allow you to apply to others EA. There are only a few that are single-choice EA (Yale and Stanford come to mind).

The benefit of applying EA is that you get your applications done early, you get your results early, and it makes the rest of your senior year less stressful. You don’t need to apply to a lot of schools EA, but you may get more choices earlier and decide that you’re done come December.
