Personal/General questions. It will be good if you can follow current affairs news… Usually open by the way. Hope that helps!

Oh… the professor will ask the current affairs?.. = = , then he will make us to do some analysis ? . . .

hey guys, see you at the campus. I got the letter of offer this afternoon and was so excited about it. I guess the emails worked finally :D

Hi Odie, was your offer letter sent via email or by post? ![]()
I also applied but have not heard from SMU yet. I have sent them email after email but it has no effect :D

Hey hey hey, someone has to throw a party :D! What school did you apply to Odie? I will be at SESS.
BraveHeidi, it’s time you sent a tearful letter saying that acceptance or death :P

Hi, BraveHeidi, I think jaah is rite, acceptance or death :D. The letter of offer actually is an email of offer with “Letter of Offer : Singapore Management University…” as the title. The rest of the title probably depends on which school you apply to.
To jaah: I’ll be at LKCSB. So we won’t be in the same course, what a pity!

“acceptance or death”…

Nah…take it lightly! It’s afterall just SMU… :D

just asking… what is so good about SMU, i just wonder why people right now, especially in asian, think that SMU is good ? tell me something… since SMU is new and it is not even score a rank in the world university

SMU is not ranked because it isn’t a comprehensive university, i.e. it only offers business degrees!

But I can say that the “feel good” feeling can be attributed to a few factors…
- World-class faculty (please go check out the faculty profiles of SMU and tell me whether you think they are good or not)

- Advertising (SMU is quite aggressive actually… in advertising… and the advertisements they produce… oh well, isn’t as cheesy as you know who… thus making it more credible in my opinion)
- SMU city campus (it’s gorgeous, although it’s not like Harvard or Princeton’s campus in the sense that it’s more towards the avant-garde feel)
- SMU can innovate and adopt the best practices fast because it does not have a heritage or traditions to adhere to. Thus, it can leverage on Wharton or CMU’s help in designing her curriculum.

Then is SMU’s degree recoqnized by the world ? or only singapore ?
