From my D; She and her roomie enjoy referring to " All The Things"…and something about a meme…???

"This is Why I’ll Never be an Adult
I have repeatedly discovered that it is important for me not to surpass my capacity for responsibility. *Over the years, this capacity has grown, but the results of exceeding it have not changed.

Normally, my capacity is exceeded gradually, through the accumulation of simple, daily tasks. "

hmac,
Do not feel failing, hire to “CLEAN ALL THE THINGS!”, very worthwhile. I have never “CLEAN ALL THE THINGS!”, I did not care if we could afford it or not. Only 2 options were available in our family: live with “all dirty things” or hire to “CLEAN ALL THE THINGS!”. Sometime it was the first one…we survived, although I hated “all the things being dirty”.

Oh, c’mon mods, how can you deny a link to the genius that is hyperbole and a half? :D

I have so many favorites, but there’s always a special place in my heart for the first story I read there, “The God of Cake”. It so perfectly captures the mad sugar lust that lurks inside small children. And, uhm, older children. Much, much older. ;)

Oh, I also love Hyperbole & a Half. Like SlitheyTove, my favorite is the first one I ever read, although it’s a different story; it’s the one about dogs not understanding basic concepts like moving.

Excuse me while I go re-read that one, and catch up on new posts!

Have loved this blog since the beginning. It’s one that all of my Ds read and we often talk about Allie as if we know her. A wonderfully funny person.

After listening to me rant about a grammar pet peeve, DD sent me a link to the post called “The Alot.” I love this blog and can’t wait for her book! (Our dogs are kindred spirits.)
