Already admitted, what's next?

Hi guys,

I just want to make sure that I’m not forgetting anything.

I’m an international student … I’ve registered for a NSC … I’ve taken the math assessment test … I scored 99 in TOEFL iBT “I needed one more to get 100 -_-” … I scored less than 500 in SAT reading …

Is there anything I’m missing?

Also, can anyone help me with the housing? I know that on-campus housing is already full.

P.S.: I won’t buy a car.

Thanks in advance

If you have a car at the NSC you can drive around and see apartment complex’s. Most are on bus routes and they will surely tell you if they are. You can find one room apartment complexs, but the more roomates you have, generally the cheaper. You can do what is called potluck, where you sign a lease, and the apartment pairs you with roomates (can be good and bad). If you give me a budget (rent per month) and ammenties you’re looking for I can give you a general idea of some apartments.

If you don’t want to get a car, I’d stick around Northgate (area off of campus) or Marion Pugh (street right beside west campus). Definately best options for getting to class. If you want to be central to campus and HEB and some restaurants off Texas Ave, I’d go with Holleman (another street). In almost all areas, you can find either expensive and nice, moderate and tiny or cheap and crappy. Lol

Between myself and chaos, we should be able to name some places…I’ve been looking for a place this fall as well.

chaoswithinthed, maybe 500$ - 700$ per month … and I’m not looking for a specific ammenties … Thanks

derekallen2009, thansk for the information … probably the north area is the best choice for me

Does anyone know how can I register online for the housing?

Thanks

For off-campus housing help go to this website for The Offices of The Dean of Student Life : [Off-Campus Students | Offices of the Dean of Student Life - Texas A&M](Texas A&M University | Off-Campus Housing Search)
as well as this website: [Searching for Off Campus Housing | Offices of the Dean of Student Life - Texas A&M](<a href=“Texas A&M University | Off-Campus Housing Search”>Texas A&M University | Off-Campus Housing Search)
This will help you find housing as well as a roommate.

Thanks a lot aggiering

Hell, $500 to $700 per month, you can stay anywhere with at least one roomate.

Yeah, I have some questions also. This topic is very helpful!
I am International Transfer student. —> So, no math assessment test, right?
I need IELTS 7.0–> I’ll take it on June 11.
Immunizations–> Do we really need it?
Getting I-20–> I’ll contact them.
Register for NCS–> In my application, it only showed on August 18-19. Could I change or do it early?

One more question, do I need to register classes soon? I am worrying it’s gonna be full in any class I need.

Thanks guys! your help is super!
