Recommendations are well written
Essay is well written

Schools
Holy Cross(no sats required, did an interview, went quite well)
Quinnipiac
Penn State(Legacy)
Villanova(Legacy)
University of New Hampshire
Fordham

i’m pretty sure you’ll get into at least one of those schools. can’t say for sure which ones because i’m not familiar with the difficulty of admissions of those schools.

If you think you can get into villanova via legacy + stats i would go there. it’s an excellent school (underrated in my opinion). if you did not have some sort of legacy, i think it would be a low reach for you (just the sat scores really)
quinnipiac - in
holy cross - out
penn state - in
unh - in
fordham - pretty borderline, but i’m going to say in

What’s your total SAT score with writing? Looking at an 1100 right now, your chances are looking slim for some of these schools. If your score is 1800+, then you’d have a better chance at most of those schools. I’m pretty sure you’re in to UNH though.

Holy Cross–Match
Quinnipiac–Safe Match
Penn State(Legacy)–Match
Villanova(Legacy)–Slight Reach, but legacy should help
University of New Hampshire–Safe Match
Fordham–borderline–I expect you will probably be accepted or waitlisted here. It is more likely that you will be accepted, but just barely.

Holy Cross–Slight reach
Quinnipiac–Safe Match
Penn State(Legacy)–Match
Villanova(Legacy)–Match
University of New Hampshire–Safe Match
Fordham - Match

Holy Cross- slight reach
Penn State- University Park might be a toss up, but your legacy status will probably help
Villanova- same as Penn Sate University Park
University of NH- in
Fordham- high match

Your GPA and class rank are strong, but your SATS are average and your ECs are good/not great.

Not all alum relationships carry equal weight. At your legacy schools, did your family give big money or big volunteer time or did they just graduate from these school back in the day when admissions was a lot less competitive?

I say Quinnpiac and UNH are promising.

I can’t offer an opinion for you about the other schools since I do not know if you took the most rigorous course of studies at your high school or not. Did you? How many APs are offered at your school and how many did you take? How did you do on the AP exams? Same for honors courses.

My recommendation is that perhaps you should find one or two more schools that are targets that you would like to attend. My daughter had 1830, was the captain of two varsity teams, was in NHS, won numerous awards, had great recommendations, a strong essay and a very strong course of studies, and she got denied from HC after a great interview and wait-listed at Villanova. Her first choice, where she applied EA was Providence, and she got in regular there, not EA.

I’ve never heard of Holy Cross but if they don’t look at SATs, you’re probably golden.
I think you’re in the right range for every school besides Villanova (It’s a reach but hey, you never know). NH=in!

NYU was definitely the most selective school of those and i dont think you should expect any more rejections except maybe villanova, but i dont know how much they care about legacies. the SATs are a little low, but top 15% of your class is pretty good so dont worry about it.
