alright... Chance Me

Hey, so I’m applying as a dietetics major this year. I’ve already been accepted to the University of Pittsburgh, but I’m wondering about my chances for some other places. Not many schools offer the dietetics major, so my choices were fairly limited and alot of them are quite in range, but I’m curious to see what you guys will say.

I’ve been told I’m a good writer, and I believe my essays were impressive.

Weighted GPA: 4.40
Unweighted GPA: 3.67
SAT: 2180
CR: 730
Math: 690
Writing: 760
ACT: 31
Top 10% of class in a very competitive highschool

Financial status: dismal.

Current Courses: AP Stat, AP Bio, AP Music Theory, AP Literature
Also took AP Lang. and AP Euro last year, 5 on Lang, 3 on Euro.

EC’s include 4 years of jv/varsity cross country, 3 years spring track, lead in the school musical 3 years in a row, Classical singer competition national semifinalist (and many other opera competition awards/participation), 2 years participation in chamber choir, NHS

Schools:
Drexel University
Boston University
UConn
UMass Amherst (EA)
Cornell
James Madison University (EA)

Hope I didn’t forget anything, I’ll chance back!

Don’t even worry about any of those schools you are in. a(Aside from Cornell which you still have a pretty good shot at. ) It’s an Ivy, so you never know.
Good job! Maybe you should apply to some more competitive schools? It can’t hurt?
Good luck!

Please?

thanks! yea, the reason I didn’t apply to some of the more competitive schools was that most of them didn’t offer what I want to do, any finances are a big problem for my family anyway so it’s not likely that I would be able to pay for one of the fancier schools
