I prefer uber because they have awesome videos like the taco bell executive in califronia and the doctor in Miami .
@zobroward lol
Uber’s “surge pricing” can be really ridiculous. My D uses it in Boston and of course it is in the evening hours that she might need it. On a Friday or Saturday night after 10pm you can pay 4 or 5 times their regular rate. Of course you are apprised of that beforehand. Really kind of cancels out any benefit over a regular cab, and often a cab will be a lot less expensive during Uber’s “surge” times.
The big advantage of Uber is that they seem to be everywhere and they appear on demand very quickly. You can get very used to that. Beats waiting around and flagging down a cab on a cold or rainy night. Will look onto Gett.
I think the surge pricing is what gets drivers extra drivers involved when there is peak demand. I don’t use Uber (yet), but it makes sense to me.
I was impressed that DS was able to eaisly kget an Uber ride(shared) to Boston airport 4:30am Thanksgiving day. His neighborhood is not normally patrolled by taxis, so it was great he had the Uber option.
