Alum Interview

Is there a specific date by which I have to submit either my common app or Princeton supplement (or both) to get an alum interview?

uhh, before the due date? Don’t think it really is a factor, but I could be wrong.

hahahaha curiousmark. shouldve asked me

Just had my interview earlier this morning. It was a really fun conversation. My alumnus was Brooke Shields’ writing partner in his English class! That was great. He gets major props from me for that. It started from me talking about my academics, then to me talking about my professional ambitions. Somewhere along the line, we had a really engaging conversation about religion and living as sons of immigrants. On our way out, we were discussing the musical merits of artists Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, and the immortalized Tupac Shakur. It’s was one of the best conversations I’ve ever had. Even if I don’t get in, I really enjoyed talking to the guy. If you guys get an interview scheduled, go for it. And don’t stress. It’s more informal than anything else.

Submitted my app today. Hoping for an interview soon!

I got my notification only three days after I sent mine in. You should probably get it soon.

Just had my interview… Over the phone too!
But still super casual. The guy had a south african accent and would say things like “bloody” which was fun

I’m curious. Was it Afrikaaner or traditional African like Zulu?

I think it was probably a prank call from some one having dinner at one of the eating clubs; bloody was a reference to a succulent rare steak.

What makes you think that? Are you SA, or have you been down there?

No, but I never lie, and I’m always right.

Wow. Aren’t you the modest type?
