Alumini relation question

I’m planning to apply to JHU and my cousin attended JHU and graduated with honors. How can I use this to my advantage. I noticed that on the application it has immediate family relations and obviously she’s not part of my immediate family. Should I include my cousin in the additional information? She graduated from JHU around 5 years ago and has already gone through med school.

It can’t hurt to include it, but I don’t think it will matter in terms of admission - See [this post](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showpost.php?p=1413506&postcount=16) a student employee in the Admissions Office and [this thread](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=158787) where AdmissionsDaniel said “Legacy for us is grandparent, parent, and/or sibling only.”

hmmm… so should i even include it in my application under additional information?

You never what it’ll do, if anything. It can’t hurt you.

so basically, its a good idea?

Currently, I don’t have anything on additional information (although it told me to include more EC if i have any, I didn’t feel that my other EC are significant enough). Do most applicant leave the additional information blank?
