HOw much does a recommendation from a harvard alumnus affect ones chances at Harvard given they have stats similar to most applicants which means close to perfect or perfect grades i.e 96 and above with almost perfect ACT-34, a minority, and having been mentored by a physics professor during the summer while working as a cashier. There is much more to me besides the given however i find it pointless to list given the fact that my stats are similar to most who apply with lots of extra curriculars.

Depends on how important to Harvard the alumni is…
If it’s a run-of-the-mill alum, probably not that much. Then again, if you’re that close, who knows…

I’m not sure if he donated money or anything to Harvard but he was at one time the VP of EXXON
