how much will this help?

Not really. Legacy doesn’t matter too much at a place like Rutgers. SAT and GPA are the heaviest, extra-curriculars add a little bit more. Everything else is kinda moot.

doesnt it mean though that im more likely to pay and actually enroll to the school opposed to someone who might have a little bit more beter grades but wont even enroll

Sure but its not likely its going to tilt the scales in your favor if your SAT and GPA are weak. If they were already strong you would be in regardless, if they are too weak you are out. If your borderline your extra-curricular activites and whether you are in-state our out of state are the most likely determining factor. Believe me when I say I doubt they are gonna come down to alumni status because they can more than likely fill their student quota for freshman by the strictly SAT/GPA category alone.

RU is a public, state school. I doubt that they really care if your parents went there too.
