Does Yale usually try to assign students to alumni who majored in something similar to what the student indicated on the application?

A local volunteer alumnus/alumna, known as the Alumni Schools Committee Director, is responsible for matching interviewers and applicants in his/her region. Some ASC directors may assign interviewers based on their majors; I’m sure most just try to find interviewers who have the time to help.
