Hey everyone,

Quick question. Harvard’s a great school, but I think my stats are a little short: really good extracurriculars and a 35 ACT, but a 3.6 GPA.

However, one of the teachers writing my recs went to Harvard for undergrad, and made quite a name for himself there (I know for a fact some of the admissions counselors know him by name).

How significantly would this make a difference in my likelihood to get in?
