Thanks for taking the time to do this!

Specifically: UPenn, Cornell, University of Chicago, and Georgetown (I know, they’re not Ivies, but they’re the same caliber.)

These schools are really hard to get into and people with perfect credentials get rejected all the time, so I was wondering if I’m actually a competitive candidate.

So far, the only interview I’ve had was at Harvard, but that went really well. I believe I’ve missed the dates to request interviews for the others.

My test scores are sort of inconsistent:

SATs:
reading: 760

U.S. Gov: 5
Calc BC: 3 (AB subscore: 4)

planned:

IBs:

Physics SL: 4

planned:

GPA: 3.79 unweighted/4.54 weighted

ECs:
Editor of the literary magazine, founded a service club, captain of an academic quiz team, member of 3 honor societies, Model UN, Mock trial, etc.

Employment: none

Honors: National Merit semifinalist, AP Scholar with distinction, state Distinguished Scholar, Mensa member

Essays: somewhat poor- they were erratic and disorganized, but I think I got across everything that I meant to

I listed potential majors as political science and economics, the most popular majors, but my essay was about how I want to be a politician. I don’t have alumni status everywhere, and I’m half Middle Eastern and half white. I took the most difficult course load available for the most part, but I was an aide for a semester in 10th grade and took on-level Arabic and Law classes in 11th grade because they didn’t offer honors classes. My school doesn’t rank, but I’m definitely in the top 10%.

Can I count on getting in to at least one of them?
