Am I a FAILURE? LOW SCORE?

I took a practice ACT test and got something like a 20 which was not what I was trying to get. I got something like a 23 on reading, 27 on science, and the lowest was the math which was about 18 I believe. I took it awhile ago so I do not entirely remember.

I want to get a score of at least 27 composite, does anyone know how I can get better?

What grade are you in?
What kind of classes do you take?
How much work are you willing to put in?

Well first of all your not a failure. That kind a thought process will hold you back not forward

I am willing to put in as much effort as needed. I’m really good a project based things… Specially if I have clear guide lines to follow. I’ve almost finished a book I’ve been writing. It’s about 80~ pages or so at the moment. I mention this because of the fact that when I made my book it was impossible to do without a chapter list and a description of each chapter… Basically that’s what I mean by clear guide lines.

I suggest (for your particular case) to simply memorize grammar rules, commonly tested ACT mathematics questions, and brush up on basic science terminology(take many practice tests). For the reading section, however, you will need to experiment with which method is best for you (reading the entire passage or questions first).

Make sure you have a good study book (ie Red Book, etc) do lots of practice tests, consider taking a study class. They have brought up some kids scores 4-5 points.

barron’s book is good for the math section, if you want to check that out :]

I scored 24 the first time I took the ACT(my Sophomore year). My senior year(this year), I scored 31. Just purchase several ACT Prep books and study hard. I really enjoyed Barron’s ACT prep book, the English section was pretty phenomenal.

take some practice tests

just keep trying. you can get higher

Keep practicing. Did u consider the SAT?
