Am I able to get into West Point?

I’m Kyle I’m 17 and I’m a junior/ duel enrollment student at Broward college. I am very interested in attending West Point and I want to know if I am qualified enough to get in. I currently have a weighted gpa of a 4.5 and I have gotten all A’s in every college class I have taken at Broward. And also my sat was a 1700

My other credentials
I have written on the school news paper for 2 years and 1 year on the broward college news paper

I have played varsity lacrosse for 3 years and I was second team all district once

I volunteer every Sunday at church as a student leader and will have over 400 hours of community service hours as a result of this by the end of my senior year next year

I am the student senator at Broward college

Is this good enough?

Can you play Division I lacrosse?

One word of advice about the essays: better write the essays about why you want to be an Army officer. You might want to consider VMI, VA Tech, TAMU or the Citadel as backups.

West Point: Reach

How can I increase my chances then

I’ll assume you perused this website for help. If not here you go [Admissions - ProsCadetsJuniors](http://www.westpoint.edu/admissions/SitePages/Pros_Cadets_Juniors.aspx)

And I don’t know if this applies to West Point but don’t you usually have to have a nomination from a state representative? I’m not certain about that so I could be wrong.

How much of a leadership position is being student senator or being a team leader at church? West Point requires a lot of leadership experience so I was just wondering.
