<p>I know nobody can be really chanced at an ivy but i want to know if i have a decent shot</p>

<p>INTERNATIONAL/NATIONAL</p>

<p>-I had the opportunity to represent my country at the WORLD SCHOOL INTERNATIONAL FORUM 2006 held at Australia (Brisbane)
1 among three from the country</p>

<p>-have appeared on NATIONAL TELEVISION ,NDTV NEWS CHANNEL, to give my point of view on Admission policies and Entrance Examinations for professional courses .I am also scheduled to appear on the same channel for a youth debate on national issues (YOUTH UNPLUGGED).</p>

<p>OTHER
-I am an ardent Quizzer and spend a considerable amount of time on this activity.</p>

<p>-I have won 6 quizzes at city/state level and was invited to host and quizmaster for three prestigious quizzes, of which won had a total prize money of rs 65000</p>

<p>-I am also an ardent debater
I have won many debates and also was invited to be the judge and moderator for a few interschool debates</p>

<p>-special meniton for directing a play in record time and staging it succesfully(1 day)</p>

<p>-I have appeared on ALL INDIA RADIO(1 among 5 in state ) in class 9</p>

<p>-Scholarship for outstanding morals and values in class 10</p>

<p>held the office of the HEALTH CLUB SECRETARY and OFFICE BEARER of SCHOOL during my year 12 of school.
-I was overweight and last 10 kilos with lot of research and hardwork. My school recognised me for this and gave me the office</p>

<p>-I was photographer and sub editor Of PSBB Mirror, a news paper which the school publishes only once in three years. I underwent training at the offices of MAKKAL KURRAL -a state daily as a prt of this venture</p>

<p>I think you have a lot of EC’s that will really help. However, your SAT’s aren’t that great. What is your GPA out of 4.0?</p>

<p>Not gonna chance you… all I’m gonna say is that for brown especially, your personality counts. You need to have a clear voice in your essay, be… I honestly believe you need to be a bit quirky to enjoy brown :P</p>

<p>It’s about what you can bring to Brown in terms of involvement and energy. If you were able to/can show that… it would help a lot.</p>

<p>I cannot offer much other than Brown looks at the total person and they may like your ECs and awards. If I had to guess,I would guess that on the info. stated it will be difficult without more. Do not be discouraged by CMU as CMU applications soared by 30% this year. At least that is what I read. Brown and CMU are two of the hottest schools in the U.S. this year.</p>

<p>Is your question so urgent that you need to ask vehemently like this? You applied already; you don’t need urgent help anymore. Just relax and wait for the decision.</p>

<p>no all I am asking is If i am wasting my time thinking wishfully that I will get in…in other words I want to know if I should be surprised If i get in, or wether I should expect it</p>
