<p>I took the SAT’s (did really bad) and got my list of colleges, but then I took the ACT (did much better) but still kept my original list. So, do you think I am aiming too low?</p>

<p>I think that is pretty much it. I have thought about applying to a few more selective schools, but I do not know which ones are actually in my range. Thanks a lot.</p>
<p>Too low? I think you’re aiming just right. USC is probably a reach with your ACT score. In most of the schools you’re in between 25% to 50% of scorer. Your EC are random. You didn’t commit to many thing for four full year, except tennis and altar service. Furthermore, I wouldn’t add anything from the freshman year if you didn’t continue it to sophomore e.g. UN Model. </p>
<p>Your selling point is your GPA, I presuming it’s 4.12/4.0 and not out of 5.0.

<p>miami might be a slight reach… and i wouldn’t necessarily throw in those schools said above (BC, NYU, GWU). BC is a reach… NYU is a reach… GWU is a slight reach…</p>
<p>I threw in those schools not because they are matches, but he was asking for a few more selective schools that are in his range. BC, NYU, and GWU are all reaches, but not impossible with his credential.</p>
<p>um, not really. i just think he would get in. he has a veyr high gpa, a 29 ACT is good, and his ec’s aren’t amazing but im sure they’re no worse than most applicant there. so yeah, i say it’s not a reach. sorry</p>
<p>Might look at SAT optional schools like Holy Cross-very good Latin major and strong pre-med. Bowdoin is also SAT optional but harder to get into than HC.</p>
<p>Thanks a lot for all of your input. I am thinking about adding GW to the list. When I saw that Reddune put South Carolina as a reach, I had a good laugh, but then I thought he was thinking about Southern California, so everything’s good. Indiana University is probably that last one on my list that I would attend, but I know it is pretty good for chemistry.</p>
<p>Just another update, I got in University of Pittsburgh today. It is probably #2 or #3 on my list. YAY!</p>
<p>Pitt does have rolling admission (which is why I am already in, as well as Indiana University). I also have applied to Penn State like 2 weeks ago.</p>
<p>Would would be my chances for specifically Boston College because I’ve been looking at it I seem to like it. I kinda know it is a reach so I wonder if it could be attainable.</p>
<p>Well, I had my application and everything in by October 9 in order to get the application fee waived. I got the decision on October 23, so that would be 2 weeks.</p>
<p>And what do you guys think about my chances at BC.</p>
