I want to change some of the choices on common app because I realized that I was misunderstood/made a mistake, but I already submitted my Early decision and some of my Early action. Am I allowed to change my choices for the rest of my colleges? Do I need to report the changes to the colleges I already submitted?
If you change your common app, it will change for those you’ve not yet applied to.
If you have a significant change, then yes, inform the schools.
If it’s insignificant, like you put your religion but didn’t want to, I wouldn’t bother.
If you want to change your ED to EA or RD, then yes, find out how to do so. Of course, that might eliminate you altogether (or might not) - so be cognizant of that.
Good luck.
You can change stuff on the common app for future schools but not retroactively. Hard to know whether you need to inform prior schools as you haven’t said what it is. For example - if you discovered you accidentally chose the wrong level of course on the grades and courses section - yes, I’d let them know. If it’s something that is not important to the application then would be no need.
If it happens to be if you want them to consider test scores or not, many of my D26 schools have sent her communication asking her to confirm that decision by a certain date. I would definitely reach out t o the admissions advisor assigned to you at each school you have already applied to if it is something significant.
Yes.
Depends on what the changes/mistakes are.
