<p>no, new UC admissions requirements stipulate that applicants only need to take 2 tests in 2 different subject areas. math IIc is not required, though recommended if applying for a math-intensive major like engineering.</p>

If you take SAT II math, it needs to be Math 2C, but math isn’t required. It depends on the major, though.</p>

<p>Plum, if you’re applying to engineering, I think you need to take math 2 c. Your app. looks very good; you just need to write a decent personal statement. :D</p>
