Am I cheating myself by knowing the words before taking the practice tests? Or do I just know my critical reading score won’t be a very accurate predictor of what I’ll do on the SAT.

I ask this because I just saw a thread where the vocab words are listed for all of the Blue book tests. (Also I am studying words from direct hits.)

If you are taking practice tests, probably. It’s looking at the answers before taking the test, which you won’t be able to do come Saturday morning.

The thread contains most of the hard words in each test not only the answers and I recommend that you study them after doing the tests because in the real test you won’t know the words coming and their meanings.

Taking the practice test under the same actual SAT test conditions from CB books nearly predict your real score.

Most tutors recommend that learning hard words from practice tests is more beneficial than learning unwarranted sat words lists; thats why I copied the words and made this thread.

^ Studying Direct Hits does essentially the same thing. It has the highest frequency words for past SAT tests. Studying the way you are is fine, too, but I recommend just reading through Direct Hits Vol 1 + 2.
