So, I’m a sophomore and I am currently in precalculus and I’ve heard that class is enough to prepare you for SAT subject test Math II… usually. As a person who has always been very good at math, I wouldn’t normally worry about a math test, except that this year, I have found my teacher to be a bit… incompetent. He’s brand new and inexperienced and I feel that while he knows his stuff, he just doesn’t teach very well. He’s one of those teachers that mumbles and seems unsure about everything and can’t keep the class settled whenever we get too rowdy. I feel like I’ve learned pretty much nothing in his class so far (then again, mostly everything is a review of algebra II/trig, but still). Really, I don’t take his class very seriously and I still manage to have an A in that class.

Still, I plan on studying vigorously for the test (I’m taking it in June, btw) and checking out a lot of SAT prep books. Not only that, but my dad is a math teacher himself and he will be there to help prepare me for the test as well. What I’m asking is, would there be anything on the test that would put me at a disadvantage for having a sucky math teacher? Like, anything hard that should have been covered in precalculus (but I feel like my class won’t)?

Please and thank you!
