Am I doomed?

I am a college freshman at Boston College. I applied to Pomona as a freshman and was accepted, however I turned them down to attend BC. I have very personal reasons for choosing BC, most of which are family related. Those reasons have resolved themselves, so I now am regretting my decision to go to BC. I wish I could go back in time and matriculate to Pomona, but I am at BC and not very happy.

What should I do?

Apparently it’s quite tough to be admitted as a transfer to Pomona since there are few openings (freshmen tend to stay!). However, you don’t know unless you try! Keep those grades and extracurriculars high because any competitive college you might apply for a transfer will require it. :)

Are you doomed? Well I’m certainly feeling doomed as a transfer applicant right now. From what I’ve heard it’s very competitive so excellent grades and extracurriculars are necessary if we even want to be taken seriously. That and hope that the applicant pool isn’t stunning this year
