Last Oct I took the PSAT as a sophomore and I got an 80 in math.

I took the SAT reasoning this Jan and got a 790 in math.

However, I decided to practice a little bit of PSATs yesterday and today (since this is the year it counts) and I'm getting like 66s and 69s on the practice tests for math... I don't know if Barron's is harder, or if I'm just making dumb mistakes after doing nothing this summer but hang out with friends, a bit of APUSH summer hw, and community service. Thoughts?

Good practice if it's harder than the real thing though, right? I remember I had a Math IIC Subject Test prep book from Barron's which I consistently got 500-600s on their practice tests and got a 800 on the real thing...

My Barron's score is lower than my score on the real thing.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling! NO WAY! Impossible.

Relax, you aren't getting dumber. Barron's is useless; it is way too hard and does not properly reflect the type/difficulty of questions on the PSAT.

Can't believe you've made 136 posts already and didn't see the exact same thread, which was bumped for a year (with a big gap tho) until three weeks before.
